OUR MISSION


​Burlesque Boston was created by a group of local performers and producers as a way to foster community among local artists. We hope to provide a visible platform and center of information that celebrates and supports each other's art.
Here are some of our shared values:
  • Supporting and encouraging burlesque and drag artists in the greater Boston area
  • Promoting community and a culture of inclusion and empowerment
  • Promoting and showcasing the art of performers of all genders, races, nationalities, backgrounds, religions, bodies, sexual orientation, abilities/disabilities
  • Fostering a safe and accountable community
  • Creating a safe space for performers to communicate with one another in a non-competitive environment
  • Creating a central location for information/resources/promotion for the local burlesque community and its supporters
  • Building a foundation of respect, honesty, accountability, and transparency
